How HubFed works
HubFed gives a community its own home, then helps it choose the people, partner relationships, and FED services that make that place more useful.
Start a hub →A local service, not a feed
HubFed gives a community a practical front door: a map for nearby places, a calendar for gatherings, and space for local updates. It is deliberately shaped around a ZIP code and the people who care for it.
Each hub can begin small. Turn on the modules that fit the place; leave the rest out. The goal is a durable local home, not another destination competing for attention.
What belongs in a hub
Enough structure to be useful. Enough restraint to stay understandable.
A shared view of venues, gatherings, and useful places in one ZIP code.
Bring public events together without asking every neighbor to follow another feed.
Give updates, requests, and ordinary information a dependable home.
Use the services a place needs while each product keeps its own data and rules.
Start with your place
Community stewards can start a HubFed pilot for a specific place. You choose the boundary, invite collaborators, and begin with the tools that will actually be cared for.
Request alpha access →Take a role
A hub is cared for by people, not a platform feed. Start as a local steward, join a partner relationship, or help make access possible.
Works with
HubFed carries the community relationship and permission context. Each connected FED product keeps its own records and rules.
